PourPal Navigtor
Pouring training tool for the blind
A mobility training tool designed to help blind and
visually impaired individuals develop confidence
and precision in pouring liquids through guided
spatial and motor learning.

The Chalange
The blind and visually impaired often avoid the act of pouring liquids.
The pouring techniques available for the blind and visually impaired are unhygienic and can even be unsafe.

The Solution
Using the chain's gravity and hydroponic capabilities, water clings to the chain
and flows over it, like in gutters. In addition, the encounter of the chain with the glass
produces sound and creates both sensory and acoustic feedback.

Learning Progress
Practice allows for the development of motor working memory.

1. Introduction to the
tool and dry practice.

2. Guided practice
with liquids.
3. Fully independent
practice.

Design Progress
The design process included finding the hydroponic shape of the liquid transport chain, the shape of the jug, and designing the journey of use.
